I admit, I bought 60 items for Safeway’s deal this week so far. (you can do 20 at a time so I did 3 transactions). The deal is:
Buy 5 participating cereal or snack items and get an instant $5 off at the register. It makes some cereals $1 and others $1.50….fruit snacks $1….rice krispie treats $1, etc. Already decent deals! Now, add the coupons in! There have been coupons for Kellogg’s cereals that have been published in the Arizona Republic, plus there are “blinkie” coupons in the cereal aisle for .70 off Apple Jacks (makes them ,80 a box) plus Nutrigrain coupons (makes them only $1.50 a box) and Nature Valley coupons, and Post cereal coupons. You can go here to get a coupon for Post cereal, too.
Even better: You get a Catalina when you buy Post cereal! (Catalina’s are those coupons that print out at the register) Here’s how you get one:
Buy 4 boxes get $3 off your next shopping order
or
Buy 5 boxes get $4 off your next shopping order.
So just remember, buy in groups of 5 but don’t exceed 20 items in one order. Use coupons! You’ll still get the $5 off for each group of 5 you purchase. All tags are marked so you know what is participating. Make sure you get at least 5 boxes of Post cereal to make this an excellent deal! (you will only get one catalina per order, so….if you want lots of Post cereal make sure you do separate orders)
