If you haven’t already heard….Bashas’ is closing 10 stores around AZ. But they are NOT going out of business. They are hanging in there, but with the slower economy and credit crisis and slandering from the union that they won’t join….they’ve been hit hard.
PLEASE support Bashas, a family owned Arizona-only business that employess close to 11,000 people in AZ. I love them; they have a free kids’ club in most stores while I shop, plus the meat is fresh and the organic section is pretty diverse. Farm fresh produce grown in AZ too. I urge everyone to spend money in Bashas this week. If every household spent $20 there this week, it would boost Basha’s tremendously. A suggestion: go in for donuts. They are the only grocery store left that makes their donuts right at the store and they are delicious. Take some donuts to the office or bring some home Sat morning, and grab some juice/milk to go with it. Little moves we make can really help the Basha family and all those employed. Please comment on this blog if you are joining me!

I really love shopping at Bashas…. however… since we have moved… its too far away for me to go there anymore.. so I end up shopping at either of the two stores in my area…. I wish it was closer though as we would for sure shop there and show our support!! GOod luck in spreading the word…thank you for all you share with the rest of us!
