My relatives in the NW have always bragged about how they get fresh, natural chicken for only $1.49 per pound from a company called Zaycon Foods.
On January 22nd they are coming to AZ for the first time! They will have two pick up locations, one in Gilbert and one in Peoria.
You can ONLY buy it in the 40lb box size, but inside the box is four bags of chicken, approx 13 lbs each. They should fit just fine in the fridge that way, but what I plan to do is divide the chicken into gallon freezer bags so that we have a nights worth of chicken to defrost, not a large bag full.
I don’t know about you, but my family has been WAY more conscious of where our meat is coming from these days, and I was so happy to read this on their website:
“Our chicken is 100% natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients.”
Let me tell you, the quality of the chicken is wonderful! I tried some recently and was very happy with the quality. We made baked chicken breasts with rice and everyone gobbled it down!

The winners must be available to pick up their winning chicken on Sat the 22nd (see their site for location and time). If the winners do not live in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, Zaycon will send a you $35 gift card to a grocery store instead. If local winners cannot pick up the chicken, runner up winners will be selected.

Entries after that date and time will not be counted. The two winners will be announced the following day and notified via email. If the prizes are not claimed within 24 hours of the announcement new winners will be chosen.
