Congratulations! You each won a 40lb box of chicken! Please email me right away with contact info for you so I can pass it on to Zaycon. Your chicken will be there for you on the 22nd! Make some freezer room!

Thanks to everyone who participated. I hope to do another contest shortly.

Zaycon Chicken Giveaway – win 40 pounds FREE!

January 8th, 2011

I am super excited to announce that we are giving away TWO free 40lb boxes of farm fresh chicken from Zaycon Foods!

Two lucky readers will win, find out how below!

My relatives in the NW have always bragged about how they get fresh, natural chicken for only $1.49 per pound from a company called Zaycon Foods.

On January 22nd they are coming to AZ for the first time! They will have two pick up locations, one in Gilbert and one in Peoria.

You can ONLY buy it in the 40lb box size, but inside the box is four bags of chicken, approx 13 lbs each. They should fit just fine in the fridge that way, but what I plan to do is divide the chicken into gallon freezer bags so that we have a nights worth of chicken to defrost, not a large bag full.

I don’t know about you, but my family has been WAY more conscious of where our meat is coming from these days, and I was so happy to read this on their website:

“Our chicken is 100% natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients.”

Let me tell you, the quality of the chicken is wonderful! I tried some recently and was very happy with the quality. We made baked chicken breasts with rice and everyone gobbled it down!

The winners must be available to pick up their winning chicken on Sat the 22nd (see their site for location and time). If the winners do not live in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, Zaycon will send a you $35 gift card to a grocery store instead. If local winners cannot pick up the chicken, runner up winners will be selected.

This giveaway starts NOW and ends Wed January 19th, 2011 at 11:59 am

Entries after that date and time will not be counted. The two winners will be announced the following day and notified via email. If the prizes are not claimed within 24 hours of the announcement new winners will be chosen.

Love Jamba Juice?

December 15th, 2010

You know, we all have our favorite things, that we will pay full price for…..for me it’s an occasional Star Bucks drink and for my husband it’s Jamba Juice smoothies.  So when I saw this deal on Jamba Juice, even though it’s not a hot smokin deal, it’s better than my hubby paying full price once a week!

So here’s the deal:

You get a $20 gift card and free 16 oz. smoothie for only $19, that’s a savings of over 20%. The gift cards are valid nationwide too, so they’ll make a great gift for your sister in California or your cousin in Kentucky.  Also, through Monday the 20th you can get free shipping by entering the coupon code JAMBASHIP.
